The ex-Lokomotiv football player, suspended from the Czech national team due to alcohol, apologized to his partners
Czech national football team forward Jan Kuchta turned to his teammates after he was suspended from the national team due to his participation in an alcoholic party.
Earlier, Czech media reported that Kuchta, as well as defenders Vladimir Zoufal and Jakub Brabec, were suspended from the Czech national team before the European Championship qualifying match with the Moldavian team due to visiting a nightclub. The press service of the Czech team announced that the players left their location “due to a violation of internal rules.” The meeting took place in Olomouc on Monday and ended with a score of 3:0 in favor of the hosts.
“I did a terrible thing.” I apologize to you, my teammates, as well as the coaching staff led by Yaroslav Shilgavy. I apologize to everyone who is worried about us in the national team, to Sparta. I apologize to my family and all those who are dear to me. I did something I can’t be proud of. This is a lesson for me.
I returned to Sparta after Monday morning training and am preparing for the last matches of the fall. “I’ll have to re-gain trust,” 26-year-old Kukhta wrote on a social network.
Kukhta played for Lokomotiv Moscow in 2022, where he played 11 matches and scored three goals.
