Krylia Sovetov head coach Igor Osinkin expressed hope that ex-CSKA and Russian national team football player Alan Dzagoev will be able to start a coaching career.
On Tuesday, Dzagoev announced his retirement at the age of 33. From 2006 to 2007, the football player played under the leadership of Osinkin in the Krylya Sovetov-SOK club, but spent most of his career in CSKA (2008–2022). His last club was the Greek Lamia.
— I heard that he sees himself as a coach in the future. I understand that now he will be at a crossroads. I hope that Alan’s ability to understand the most difficult situations will help him in the future. If it’s a coaching career, it’s a coaching career. It is clear that besides football it would be difficult for him to immerse himself deeply in anything else. He was always immersed, completely surrendered. He didn’t have time to master anything else in life, like most big football players,” “Championship” quotes Osinkin.
As part of CSKA, the midfielder became a three-time Russian champion, winning the country’s Cup and Super Cup four times each. The footballer played 59 matches for the Russian national team and scored nine goals.
