Working with a psychologist can help Sobolev increase his performance, says Riancho

Former coach of Spartak Moscow Raul Riancho believes that working with a psychologist can help Red-White forward Alexander Sobolev increase his performance.

The 26-year-old striker played in 14 matches for Spartak this season in all tournaments, in which he scored five goals and gave four assists.

— Sobolev is an important player for Spartak. I don’t think that the “red-whites” will want to part with him due to temporary differences. Alexander played many games for Spartak, consistently scored and provided assists. What is the reason for the low performance this season? Don’t know. Perhaps something distracts him from football.

Will working with a psychologist help Sobolev? Yes, this is normal practice. Many leading European players work with specialists. A psychologist can help Sobolev regain self-confidence, and his performance will increase,” RB Sport quotes Riancho as saying.

Spartak currently ranks sixth in the MIR RPL standings with 24 points.
