The president of Dynamo Makhachkala Gadzhi Gadzhiev summed up the results of the year for the Russian national team, noting that the head coach of the national team Valery Karpin copes with his responsibilities.
The Russian national team defeated the Cuban team with a score of 8:0 in a friendly match on Monday in Volgograd. In 2023, the Russians played with Iran (1:1), Iraq (2:0), Qatar (1:1), Cameroon (1:0) and Kenya (2:2).
— It is impossible to evaluate the results of the Russian team, because there are no specific criteria. It’s right that we looked for options for international meetings. The Russian team is alive. It is very good that the players’ attitude towards such games has changed compared to the matches with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. In the last matches the guys gave their all on the field.
