“Spartak is not a place for a coach to train and experiment” – Kuzmichev

Former deputy general director of Spartak Vladimir Kuzmichev believes that Guillermo Abascal may leave the post of head coach of the Moscow team during the winter break.

After the first round, Spartak with 24 points ranks sixth in the Russian Football Championship standings.

“I don’t see that there will be any sensations or that anything will change.” It seems to me that the table will remain approximately the same.

— Lokomotiv is quite low – in seventh place.

— Today it is not yet possible to say that Lokomotiv is showing a mature game that would give the team optimism.

— In your opinion, based on the results of these three rounds, is it necessary to make a decision on Abascal in Spartak?

— Whether it is necessary or not, let the management of Spartak decide on the content and results. The fans are not satisfied with either one or the other – I understand them, they would like something different in terms of content and points, taking into account the money spent.

We can probably say that Abascal may be replaced in the winter. Everyone understands that such an idea has already matured in the heads of the management. In my opinion, the team lacks stability. Still, Spartak does not have the right to give three good rounds and then play who knows what. “Spartak is not a place for a coach to train and experiment,” RB Sport quotes Kuzmichev as saying.
