Railway workers may pay dearly for Galaktionov’s intemperance.
The match of the 16th round of the MIR RPL between Krylya Sovetov and Lokomotiv ended in scandal. Samara’s powerful rescue in the end was overshadowed by the expressions that the railway workers showered after the game. Now they can run into tough sanctions.
And the most interesting thing is that they will be punished for this at least twice. And not only football functionaries, but also rivals on the football field.
Happy 102nd
Lokomotiv seemed to have no problems with Krylia. Having exchanged goals in the first half of the match, the Muscovites scored twice in the second half and could easily see things through to victory. Confidence was given by Sergei Pinyaev, who opened the scoring in the 30th minute, and Rifat Zhemaletdinov, who scored a double after the break,
But Wings, who scored one goal in the first half from Fernando Costanza, did not give up. In the 94th minute, Vladimir Pisarsky finished off a cross from the flank and reduced the gap to a minimum. True, there was very little time left, but hope for a comeback still glimmered.

The hottest part started in the 97th minute. Krylia goalkeeper Ivan Lomaev kicked the ball into someone else’s penalty area, where Ilya Gaponov skillfully took it on his chest. Loko defender Evgeny Morozov, trying to contain his opponent, pressed the rebounded ball to himself with his elbow. The handball was obvious, and Samara earned the right to a penalty.
But not at once. Chief referee Vasily Kazartsev talked for a long time with the VAR team, brushing aside the attacks of Loko captain Dmitry Barinov. Almost the entire team of Muscovites tried to persuade the referee that the episode was not worth a point, especially at the end of the match. However, Kazartsev, having watched the replay himself, still gave a penalty.
Benjamin Garre approached the ball and left the railwaymen no chance – 3:3. The 102nd minute was lucky for “Wings”!

“Shame of football”
Even during the match, Dmitry Barinov showed himself brightly and provocatively. And it’s not just about appeals to Kazartsev. Passing by Garre, the Loko captain said something to the Samara legionnaire, which made him even grimace. However, it didn’t come to a scuffle.
After the game, Barinov continued to rage. As he left for the locker room, he made an extremely unpleasant remark to the judges.
“You are a disgrace to all of football!” — Barinov told the reserve referee. His words were aired on Match TV.
Later, the footballer did not retract his statements.
— Apparently, someone thought that we were playing until the goal was scored. This is the kind of judge with whom it is difficult to talk. I won’t say anything about refereeing, I already said,” the Loko captain told a Match TV correspondent.

It came to checkmate
But even Barinov was far from his coach Mikhail Galaktionov. During a flash interview on Match TV, the specialist literally did not hold back his expressions. The situation upset the coach so much that he allowed himself to use obscene language.
– What happened at the end… Both the Lokomotiv football club and the top management of the club will need to figure this out. Because that’s how to judge, and what happened at the end of the match… If someone likes this *** (mess), we don’t. “I’m done,” Galaktionov said on Match TV.
At the post-match press conference, however, Mikhail Mikhailovich chose more modest words. At least he didn’t swear.
— In principle, we played well. They maintained a certain game system. We had to lead the match to victory. But everyone saw what happened in the end,” said Galaktionov, quoted by the Lokomotiv press service.

Will be remembered at the end
Now both Barinov and Galaktionov will have a hard time. The disciplinary regulations of the Russian Football Union are quite strict when it comes to obscene language and insults. According to the document, they can receive up to four matches of disqualification. This means that in the worst case scenario, the captain and head coach of Loko will be left without work until next spring.
And this situation plays into the hands of the opponents. Especially Zenit, with whom Lokomotiv will play on December 3rd. To receive as an opponent a bloodless team, which neither the captain nor the head coach will help at the most crucial moment – isn’t this the best gift for one of the leaders of the WORLD RPL? And Lokomotiv has only themselves to blame.
The match of the 17th round of the WORLD RPL between Lokomotiv and Zenit will take place on December 3 in Moscow at the RZD Arena stadium and will begin at 16:30 (Moscow time).
