Former Spartak defender Andrei Chernyshov said that the “red-whites” showed character in the Russian championship match with Baltika.
The meeting of the 16th round of the MIR RPL took place on Saturday on a snow-covered field in Kaliningrad and ended with a victory for the Muscovites with a score of 2:0.
— The decision on the match is made by the referee of the match. He must evaluate the weather conditions and the quality of the football field. Coaches and team managers cannot influence this. If it is considered that everything is suitable for holding a match, it should take place. We know of few examples, especially in Russian football, when matches were postponed or stopped. We prefer to finish matches, regardless of weather conditions. On the one hand, one can understand the managers and organizers of the match – it is very difficult to hold a second match. If there is the slightest opportunity to play, such a decision is made.
Of course, when teams play in such weather, the quality of football is not talked about. Fighting qualities come to the fore. When the field is in this condition, the quality of the teams becomes approximately equal. It is difficult to demonstrate individual skill. “Spartak” showed character and showed that it is ready to fight for the highest places. They have motivation. When a team wins in such conditions, it shows that there is character and a desire to win, Chernyshov told the Championship.
Live broadcasts of MIR RPL matches can be watched on the Match TV and MATCH PREMIER TV channels, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
