Former president of Moscow Spartak Andrei Chervichenko expressed the opinion that Krasnodar lost to Ural in the Russian Championship match due to excessive relaxation of the players.
The meeting of the 16th round of the MIR RPL took place on Sunday in Yekaterinburg and ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the hosts.
— Considering that Krasnodar played lively at the beginning of the match and scored, I thought they would put the pressure on. But either complacency, or poor defensive play – maybe the injuries to Safonov and Tormena had this effect. Agkatsev can hardly be blamed for the missed goals, but the defense acted disgracefully. It could have been even worse. Maybe it seemed to some that that was it – they were champions.
This is a problematic situation when the players feel like they are at the top, and there is a little bit of relaxation that we will now throw hats at the outsider. The punishment followed immediately. It’s okay – this will only make the fight more interesting. There are still many matches ahead,” Chervichenko told the Championship.
Live broadcasts of MIR RPL matches can be watched on the Match TV and MATCH PREMIER TV channels, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
