Former Russian national team player Alexander Mostovoy praised the Orenburg players for their game with Spartak in the FONBET Russian Cup match.

The first quarterfinal match of the RPL Path was held in Orenburg and ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the hosts. The author of the winning goal was Nikolai Titkov, who converted a penalty in the 10th minute.

But Orenburg were still great, the second team played on equal terms with Spartak. But Spartak played a terrible first half, and it didn’t get any better in the second. It turned out to be a strange match,” Mostovoy told RB Sport.

The teams will play the return match in Moscow from March 12 to 14. The winner of the confrontation on the sum of two meetings will advance to the semi-finals of the RPL Path, the loser will go to the second stage of the quarter finals of the Regional Path.
