Freiburg and West Ham reached the Europa League playoffs

London’s West Ham defeated the Serbian club Bačka Topola in the match of the fifth round of the Europa League group stage.
The Group A meeting, held in Serbia, ended with a score of 1:0. Tomas Soucek scored the goal in the 89th minute.
In a parallel match of the quartet, the German Freiburg sent five unanswered goals into the gates of the Greek Olympiacos at home. Michael Gregoric scored a hat-trick, and Kiliann Sildillia and Ritsu Doan scored a goal each.
West Ham and Freiburg each scored 12 points and left Group A. Olympiacos (4 points) is in third place, Backa Topola (1) closes the table.
In the final round, West Ham and Freiburg in London will determine the winner of the quartet, and Olympiacos and Backa Topola will compete for third place, which will give them the right to compete in the Conference League. Both matches will take place on December 14.
