The press service of the Saratov “Falcon” reported that the club refused the services of its mascot, a falcon named Finist.

— “Sokol” was left without Finist, the club said goodbye to the mascot. We saw that many fans blamed our Finist for the autumn failures. We decided to listen and fired the bird. Finist, bye bye,” the club said.

However, 20 minutes later a new entry appeared on the Saratov residents’ Telegram channel.

— The club has a new mascot. We are glad to introduce you to Finist! A reboot for everyone who blamed the mascot for their failures, reads the second message.

Two days earlier, Sokol parted ways with head coach Denis Boyarintsev; the last match at the helm of the team for the specialist was the game with Kuban (1:3).
