Ivich can replace Cordoba with Koksharov, says Demenko
Former Krasnodar footballer Maxim Demenko answered the question of how the Bulls will play against Orenburg in the match of the 17th round of the MIR RPL without striker John Cordoba.
On Thursday, the RFU CDC disqualified Cordoba for three MIR RPL matches and one suspended game for an insulting gesture towards the referee in the 16th round match with Ural (1:3). The Colombian striker is Krasnodar’s top scorer in the current RPL season (8 goals).
— Finishing the first lap as a leader, and then dropping to second place, of course, is unpleasant. The game against Orenburg will be important from a psychological point of view. If the team loses points and Zenit wins, then the pressure on Krasnodar will be enormous. Therefore, it is simply necessary to win, and the St. Petersburgers may lose to Lokomotiv, which means that theoretically, Krasnodar could return to first place at the end of the upcoming round. The players understand this and will try their best, I’m sure.
As for the loss of Cordoba, this is, of course, a huge minus for the team. It is obvious that John became one of the leaders of Krasnodar and brought a lot of benefit. However, Ivic must figure out how to get out of this situation. I don’t rule out that he may release young Koksharov in the starting lineup,” RB Sport quotes Demenko as saying.
In the 17th round, Krasnodar will host Orenburg on December 3. Watch the live broadcast of the match from 16:30 (Moscow time) on the MATCH PREMIER TV channel, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
