The head of the RPL did not rule out the possible postponement of the 18th round matches due to bad weather
President of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Alexander Alaev did not rule out that the matches of the 18th round of the Russian Football Championship could be postponed to the spring part of the season due to bad weather.
On Sunday, the match of the 17th round of CSKA – Rostov (2:0) took place in Moscow in conditions of heavy snowfall. For the same reasons, the start of the game between Lokomotiv and Zenit was delayed by half an hour. The matches of the next round are scheduled for December 8–10, the winter break in the championship will last until March.
— Let’s see what the weather situation will be for the next round. We have the opportunity to transfer [матчи] for the spring part of the championship,” Match TV quotes Alaev.
