Former head coach of Lokomotiv Yuri Semin believes that Denis Klyuev can become a sought-after specialist if he can save Sochi from relegation from the MIR Russian Premier League (RPL).
Klyuev will act as head coach of Sochi in the 18th round match against Orenburg, which will take place on December 10. On Sunday, the club management suspended Alexander Tochilin from working with the team.
— The situation in Sochi is very difficult. Klyuev’s task is to gain a foothold in the team and leave it in the RPL. If he copes, he will be in demand in the major leagues, if not, he will have to start again from the lower divisions.
He worked well at Lokomotiv. Many guys went through it and then ended up in the main team of the “red-greens”. The most important thing for a coach is for the players to grow in skill. It seems to me that he did this job well,” Semin told Metaratings.ru.
After 17 matches, Sochi is in last place in the RPL standings with 10 points.
