Sukhina – about Berisha’s behavior in the match with Spartak: “Adequate people run to their technical area to celebrate”
Former FIFA referee Stanislav Sukhina commented on the episode involving Akhmat football player Bernard Berisha in the 17th round of the RPL match against Spartak.
In Sunday’s match, Akhmat beat Spartak at home with a score of 2:1. After Hamid Agalarov’s goal against the Muscovites in the first half, Abascal received a red card when he pushed Berisha. Before this, the player jumped with both feet into the Spartak technical area next to the coach. Berisha received a yellow card.
“In my opinion, the judge was not mistaken. Berisha doesn’t deserve more than a yellow card. He ran to celebrate the goal in someone else’s technical area. Do we see a lot of moments like this?
– No.
— He provoked Abascal. I hit you in the legs and got a yellow card, and you stood up, waved me off and got a red card. This is true?
“But it turns out that Berisha can no longer be disqualified retroactively.
— If Berisha came running to celebrate and nothing happened, let’s say he gets a yellow card and that’s it. And then it turned out that the coach pushed him – in fact, this was physical force. What can you do… Adequate people run to their technical area to celebrate, hugging there.
“It turns out that Berisha did everything right, no matter how cynical it sounds: he celebrated the goal, took Abascal out of the game, and himself avoided serious punishment.
– Someone was sent off, and you remain on the field. I hit your legs on purpose. I only deserve a yellow card. But I do this on purpose. You get up and punch me in the face. You get red. In fact it’s fair, but in boyish terms it’s not. So what should I do? – RB Sport quotes Sukhina as saying.
The head of the RFU CDC, Artur Grigoryants, said that the committee will not consider Berisha’s behavior because there is no legal basis for this.
