Agent Carlos Gonçalves, who represents the interests of former Zenit head coach Andre Villas-Boas, has ruled out the specialist’s return to Russia in the near future.
Villas-Boas worked at Zenit from 2014 to 2016. Under the leadership of the Portuguese specialist, the “blue-white-blue” became champions of Russia and won the country’s Cup and Super Cup.
— Andre’s return to the RPL? He loves Russia and his time there. He always remembers his work at Zenit with special warmth. But at the moment Andre is focused on other projects, coaching is not one of them. Therefore, returning to Russia is not part of his plans for now,” RB Sport quotes Gonçalves as saying.
Villas-Boas’s last job was Marseille, which he headed from 2019 to 2021. He also previously coached Porto, Chelsea, Tottenham and Shanghai SIPG.
