Former Russian national team midfielder Denis Glushakov said that he had never seen such episodes as with the participation of Akhmat footballer Bernard Berisha in the Russian Championship match with Spartak.

On Saturday, in the match of the 17th round of the MIR RPL, Spartak lost away to Akhmat (1:2). After scoring against the Red-Whites in the first half, Spartak head coach Guillermo Abascal received a red card when he pushed Berisha. Before this, the footballer jumped with both feet into the “red-whites” technical area, where the Spanish specialist was standing at that moment. As a result of the clash, Berisha received a yellow card.

— Conflict between Berisha and Abascal? Football is about emotions. I don’t know what Berisha wanted at this moment. Everyone knows that he is a peculiar footballer; sometimes he is overwhelmed with emotions. I don’t know where he ran there – I think he was somewhere to show something to the VIP box. Abaskal probably misunderstood him – this jump is somehow incomprehensible. More questions for Berisha. We have to ask what he wanted – we can only guess.

Indeed, I have never seen such behavior in my career. It’s difficult to talk about refereeing decisions; this should be done by more competent people. I think they’ll sort it out and decide,” Glushakov told the Championship.

Live broadcasts of MIR RPL matches can be watched on the Match TV and MATCH PREMIER TV channels, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
