“I wouldn’t say that Berisha is the most provocative player in the RPL” – ex-Akhmat player Ivanov

Former Akhmat footballer Oleg Ivanov did not call the midfielder of the Grozny team Bernard Berisha the most provocative player in the MIR RPL after the Kosovar celebrated a goal against Spartak in the red-white technical zone.

On Sunday, the Grozny club beat Spartak at home with a score of 2:1 in the 17th round of the WORLD RPL. After Hamid Agalarov’s goal against the Muscovites in the first half, the head coach of the “red-whites” Guillermo Abascal received a red card for pushing Berisha. Before this, the Akhmat player jumped with both feet into the red-white technical area next to the coach. Berisha received a warning following the episode.

— Is Berisha the dirtiest football player in the RPL? After all, before the situation with Abascal, there was another incident in the match with Arsenal.

“As they later wrote to me, in Tula Berisha took revenge for me – we had a similar situation. And life is a boomerang. But I wouldn’t say that Berisha is the most provocative. In the RPL, many players play dirty, but some do it more competently than Berisha.

If, for example, we take Wernbloom, then at CSKA he played hard, but never hit on the sly. I remember after one of the matches in which Wernbloom and I clashed, he told me: “I respect you because you don’t hit on the sly.”

— Can you remember the football player who was the most unpleasant to play against?

“I can say with confidence that there has never been such dirt before.” The whole struggle was noble. Now attacks and so on are possible, but when I just started, it wasn’t. I found Onopko, Aldonin, Rakhimich, Denisov, Diarra and Kabore, and it was simply impossible to beat them – they were tenacious, like dogs. But without dirt,” Sport24 quotes Ivanov.
