Abaskal’s assistant answered the question about his desire to lead Spartak

Spartak coach Vladimir Sliskovich said that he is not thinking about taking the place of head coach Guillermo Abascal.

On Saturday, Spartak defeated Krylya Sovetov in the home match of the 18th round of the MIR RPL with a score of 3:0. The Red and Whites scored 30 points and moved up to fifth place in the standings. 34-year-old Abascal missed the game due to disqualification, the team was led by Sliskovic on the touchline.

– Don’t you want to lead the team? You have the right category.

– In my opinion, now the question is incorrect. I work at Abascal’s headquarters, and I try to approach the issue seriously. We have a close-knit team. I can’t say how my career will turn out. Now I’m happy to be part of Abaskal’s headquarters,” the Match TV website quotes Slishkovich as saying.

Abascal has been working for Spartak since the summer of 2022; in February 2023, the Spaniard extended his contract with the “red-whites” until the summer of 2025.
