According to Guardiola, Haaland’s problem is related to a “stress reaction in the leg (NdR: currently unknown which)with the clarification that there is no fracture, so it’s not a very serious injury. Even so, the City centre-forward would miss some games.
Haaland was already absent from the duel Sunday 10th December v Luton and will not play the 13th against her Red Starfor the Champions League, in his duel little value for Citywhich has already secured first place.
Guardiola said he does not know at the moment whether Haaland’s injury will lead weeks or daysbut one possibility is that the Saturday, December 16 against Crystal Palace (Premier League) or in any case he makes his return Tuesday 19 December for the Club World Cup semi-finals.
Instead of Haaland it is expected that Julian Alvarez continues to be his replacement as the main striker in Pep’s lineup.
