Sochi missed out on victory over Orenburg in the first match after Tochilin left the post of head coach

Sochi tied with Orenburg in the match of the 18th round of the MIR Russian Premier League (RPL).
Sunday’s game in Sochi ended with a score of 1:1. Ivan Ignatiev scored for Sochi in the 42nd minute. Initially, the judges saw this episode as offside, but after a prompt from VAR, the goal was counted. Orenburg escaped defeat in the fourth minute added to the second half – Danila Khotulev scored the goal.
Midfielder Christina Noboa provided the assist to Ignatiev. The Ecuadorian midfielder gave an assist at the age of 38 years and 245 days; since 2009, there have been only three older assists in the RPL.
Sochi played the first match after Alexander Tochilin left the post of head coach. The acting head coach of Sochi in this meeting was Denis Klyuev.
“Sochi” with 11 points remains in last, 16th place in the standings. Orenburg is in 14th place with 15 points.
In the 19th round, which will take place in March, Sochi will play with Baltika, and Orenburg will meet CSKA away.
