“The result is on the scoreboard, our place in the table is what it is” – Vladimir Fedotov

CSKA head coach Vladimir Fedotov, after the defeat from Krasnodar, said that he was dissatisfied with the team’s place in the first half of the Russian championship season.

CSKA lost to Krasnodar in the match of the 18th round of the MIR RPL on the road with a score of 0:1. The Army team with 28 points are in eighth place in the standings, the Bulls (38) are in the lead.

— I must say that it was a match of unused chances. We didn’t finish our chances and lost concentration for a second.

— How can we be satisfied with the results if we are in the middle of the table? We had other matches where we conceded goals in stoppage time and lost victories. We don’t have enough of them to feel more confident at the top of the standings before this pause.

— How natural is such an intermediate result?

— The table is very dense. A win today would take us into fourth place. But this is all a subjunctive mood that interests no one. The result is on the scoreboard, our place in the table is what it is. In the second part of the season, we are obliged to correct the current situation in the table,” the Match TV website quotes Fedotov as saying.

The 19th round matches will take place in March 2024. CSKA will play away against Krylia Sovetov.
