Former Spartak footballer Yegor Titov named striker Quincy Promes the best player of the “red and white” after the first part of the WORLD Russian Premier League (RPL) season.

This season, Promes has played 21 matches in all competitions, scored eight goals and made the same number of assists.

— Overall, of course, Promes. In individual matches, Litvinov, Prutsev, and Sobolev could be singled out, but only Promes played at a consistently high level. Of course, Quincy can play stronger. Let me give you an analogy: in the championship year the whole team was stronger. Regardless, he was one of the best players in his position in the entire championship. Fernando, Ivelin Popov, Denis Glushakov, Bocchetti – all masters. There were two great strikers – Ze Luis and Adriano. It was more fun for Promes to play in such an environment. Every match at Spartak was an extravaganza. The team put the squeeze on the opponent both at home and away.

Today there is no such thing. And Promes doesn’t know that he can play even better. The team cannot adapt to one person – it plays the way it was shown and told. At first the player tries to add something of his own, but in the end he aligns himself and plays like the whole team. The fact that Promes is bright and capable of coming up with a goal in any situation has long been clear to everyone in Russia. And we saw this in the last month and a half, when he hit the nines and any rebound turned out to be in his favor,” Titov was quoted as saying by “Championship.”

Spartak is in fifth place in the Russian Championship standings with 30 points.
