Zakharyan’s representative said whether Zakharyan was required to change his Russian citizenship

Advisor to Real Sociedad midfielder Arsen Zakharyan Gennady Golubin answered the question whether the Spaniards demanded that the footballer renounce Russian citizenship when transferring from Dynamo.
Zakharyan moved to Real Sociedad from Dynamo Moscow in August 2023. The transfer amount was €13 million. The player’s contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029.
– This is absolutely not true. I don’t know who came up with this. There were no conditions, this is not true. Arsen has Russian citizenship, he played for the Russian national team. Perhaps he will receive a call to the next team meeting,” Gennady Golubin told the Championship.
