CSKA can be proud that it has a world-class footballer on its roster.
Despite the geopolitical situation, Russian football remains monitored by leading sports organizations and media around the world. Another proof of this is the inclusion of a young player from MIR RPL in the list of the most talented on the planet. And absolutely deservedly so!
Among the 26 best
The list of candidates for the title of the best young player in the world in 2023 was compiled by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). It included football players who were born after January 1, 2003. According to experts, 26 players deserve mention.
Their number included midfielder of CSKA Moscow and the Uzbekistan national team Abbosbek Faizullaev. Along with him, Jude Bellingham from Real Madrid, Jamal Musiala from Bayern, Barcelona players Gavi, Lamin Yamal and Alejandro Balde, Rasmus Højlunn and Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United and other players are vying for victory.
The best one will be named by a special commission assembled by IFFHS. It includes journalists and football experts from 120 countries. The results will be summed up at the end of January 2024.
“Fayzullaev is the best in CSKA”
Abbosbek Faizullaev managed to conquer IFFHS in a short time. Back in the summer, he was a little-known football player, although he showed promise in his native Uzbekistan. The Pakhtakor graduate at the age of 18 managed to gain a foothold in the main team and became the vice-champion of Asia among youth, and at 19 he made his debut in the national team.
In August 2023, Abbosbeck signed a contract with CSKA Moscow. According to Transfermarkt, the Russian club paid 500 thousand euros for the right winger. Back then, few could have imagined that the boy from Uzbekistan would burst into Russian football.

Faizullaev scored two goals and gave nine assists in 18 matches for CSKA. The midfielder began to be useful with virtually no buildup. In the RPL WORLD, Abbos has been playing without substitutions since the end of September, and during this time CSKA has lost only two out of ten matches.
Faizullaev has a good shot, high speed and effective dribbling, and is also not afraid to engage in martial arts. He is already called the best player of the current CSKA. This opinion, in particular, is shared by the club legend, UEFA Cup winner and two-time Russian champion Evgeniy Aldonin.
— Fayzullaev works very skillfully with the ball, he tries to do everything at speed and play with aggravation. Abbos is also not greedy – he can score and pass. He is a team player who leaves a good impression. In my opinion, Faizullaev is now the best in CSKA. I am sure that he has great potential,” Aldonin noted in an interview with Metaratings.ru.
It is possible that in the near future Abbos will leave for one of the top European clubs. He himself admitted that he would like to try his hand at Barcelona. The Catalan club’s interest in the Uzbek talent has not been reported, but it may well appear if the player continues to progress.
Both the player and the club benefit
If we talk about the IFFHS Prize, then Jude Bellingham will almost certainly take it. He is considered the future of all world football, and for good reason. The 20-year-old Englishman is the leader of Real Madrid, and without him it is difficult to imagine the royal club playing in the Spanish Championship and the Champions League. Bellingham, by the way, was the winner of the IFFHS Junior Award in 2022, and there is no doubt that he will receive it this time too.
But the inclusion of Abbosbek Faizullaev in the short list of talents is a high-profile event in itself. Thanks to this, a football player can gain additional confidence in his abilities and significantly increase his value. And CSKA will be confident that its work with youth is being watched even abroad.
