The head coach of the Fakel football club, Sergei Tashuev, called the Russian Washington hockey player Alexander Ovechkin a star and hoped that the forward’s goalless streak would not last long.
Earlier, Washington beat Chicago 4:2 on the road. Ovechkin recorded an assist, but failed to score for the tenth match in a row, repeating his personal anti-record.
— I don’t follow Ovechkin’s matches, but in general I know that he breaks records – he recently scored 1,500 points in the NHL. He’s currently going through a scoring drought, but let’s hope it doesn’t last long. I am glad that our hockey player is on the list of the strongest in the world. A star – he is a star in Africa too! — Metaratings.ru quotes Tashuev as saying.
Ovechkin, 38, is the second-leading scorer in league history with 827 goals. According to this indicator, he is second only to Canadian Wayne Gretzky, who has 894 goals.
