FIFA has named the candidates for The Best award for the best male footballer for the period from 19 December 2022 to 20 August 2023.
The forwards have become contenders Erling Holland (“Manchester City”), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Lionel Messi (Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Miami).
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on 15 January 2024.
Initially 12 players were nominated for the award, selected by a jury of experts. The three finalists were determined by an international jury, made up of national team coaches, national team captains, football journalists and fans who voted on the official website FIFA.
