General Director of PARI NN David Melik-Guseinov summed up the results of 2023 for the Nizhny Novgorod team.

PARI NN finished last season in 13th place in the MIR RPL standings; in the current Russian Championship, Nizhny Novgorod is in 9th place after 18 rounds.

— According to the five-point system, “PARI NN” worked in 2023 with a solid “four”. This applies to both the second part of last season and the first part of this one. The most important thing is that the club did not regress, but rose. This is not a task for one day or even a month. It was necessary to take a good approach to the summer transfer window, now we are approaching the winter one even more intensively.

“PARI NN” is in an unusually high place in the standings for Nizhny Novgorod. This has never happened in recent history. I don’t puff out my cheeks now, but speak exclusively in the language of numbers. At the same time, we do not set the bar by place in the table. The task of all footballers is to look ahead to higher positions and win every match. To achieve this, a lot is being done both within the club and in its positioning.

Head coach Sergei Yuran is the backbone of our club. As for the sports agenda specifically, he contributed greatly to the growth of the team. But the club is just a club, it is not a company of one person and not an organization of one star. Here everyone must work for results: from the reserve football player to the office. The result that PARI NN has is a merit of the synergistic work of all services of our club,” Sport24 quotes Melik-Guseinov as saying.

The MIR RPL season will resume in March 2024.
