The home of Espanyol footballer Keith Balde was robbed this week, the Record reports.
Three alleged thieves committed the crime by locking the footballer’s mother in one of the rooms.
The Senegalese football player has already filed a complaint to the police. The thieves managed to take possession of several valuable items that Balde’s mother kept in a safe, including a luxury watch.
Catalan police have launched an investigation to identify and arrest those responsible for this theft. It is possible that the criminals are members of a group specializing in this type of crime.
28-year-old Balde is on loan at Espanyol; the rights to the player belong to Spartak Moscow.
This season, the forward played 9 matches in the second division of the Spanish Championship.
