Russian swimmer Minakov admitted that he often “hated” Artem Dzyuba
World Swimming Championship medalist Andrei Minakov admitted that he did not like forward Artem Dzyuba when he played for Zenit St. Petersburg.
Dzyuba played for the Blue-White-Blues from 2015 to 2022, and now plays for Lokomotiv Moscow.
“I was, am, and will be rooting for Zenit.” This is, after all, a club from the banks of the Neva, where I grew up. In fact, I used to follow him more actively, since an acquaintance, the Brazilian Malcolm, played for Zenit. When he left, I realized that I didn’t really know any of the new guys. I still support our club, there are no questions at all.
I just grew up watching Zenit, where Dani, Hulk, Lombaerts, Criscito, Paredes, Shatov, Kokorin played. Well, the same Artem Dzyuba. No matter how much anyone hated him, I admit that even I often hated him (laughs), it cannot be denied that Dzyuba is one of the best scorers of our club. And now there are a lot of foreign players in the club. Even sadness attacks. I still want to see our domestic football,” the Championship quotes Minakov.
