The vice world champion was wounded in the stomach. And this isn’t a footballer’s worst family fight

Promes isn’t the only one in the spotlight.

Lavezzi fell on a knife while changing a light bulb

A strange story happened to the former Argentine national team striker, PSG and Naples. According to journalists, he was stabbed during a family argument. But people close to him claim that Lavezzi went to change a light bulb and unsuccessfully fell from a height onto the sharp edge of the furniture. There’s definitely a puncture wound to the abdomen and a broken collarbone. Ezequiel is in hospital. The police are following all possible leads. The time to call an ambulance is surprising: five in the morning. Light bulbs are unlikely to be changed so soon in Uruguay, where Lavezzi lives in a house on the beach.

Maybe Ezequiel was afraid that a loved one would end up in prison and began to lie? They’ll fix it. In the meantime, we wish the Argentinian good health and less frequent troubles. A few years ago Lavezzi was already in a difficult situation. During quarantine in the resort, he kidnapped a friend’s girlfriend, Brazilian model Natalia Borges. They were given identical hats, in which they were photographed separately. Natalia is now in hospital with Lavezzi, although on her attacker’s page there are mainly photos with her father, brother and son Thomas.

Ezequiel will interact with the police again like he did a couple of years ago. Then the blackmailers stole photos and videos of the footballer with Natalya from the house. They asked for five thousand dollars for each file. Since the videos were not published, we believe that Lavezzi paid the criminals. And if Ezequiel is now physically well and no important organs are affected, he will be able not to press charges of assault and lie to the Uruguayan police about what happened so that a relative, brother or father is not prosecuted.

Promes will serve time in prison for assault

Quincy is still free, but will be captured by Dutch justice. An appeal is underway in the case of a footballer who attacked his cousin. First in a civil court, and then in a criminal case, it was established that the Spartak legend attacked his brother during a party. He brandished a knife and severely cut his leg near the knee. According to Promes, the cousin communicated rudely with the player’s mother and aunt, which infuriated Quincy. Most likely, the court could grant the footballer a suspended sentence, but there is a problem.

The police tapped Promes’ phone because he had been dealing with criminals for a long time. The prosecutors were dealing with a famous defendant, so they acted illegally, but cunningly: they leaked Quincy’s conversations online through the police. The journalists replicated all the details. Dutch called his father the night after the attack and said that if he hadn’t come out in front of his brother, the winger was planning a murder. Promes was also smart enough to call his aunt and mother after the crime, telling them the details of what happened.

Quincy told his father that he was ready to kill his brother for his aunt. Firearms are also mentioned. They say his brother was lucky Promes didn’t have a gun with him. Short-barreled weapons are allowed in the Netherlands, but why does an Ajax footballer need a gun and a knife that can cut off a leg with one shot? The cousin suffered from health problems, the court ordered monetary compensation. Promes will go to prison for 18 months. Meanwhile, another trial is underway in Moscow, but for drugs and not for family violence.

Two football players killed their loved ones

American football player Simpson killed his wife and her lover, but the jury acquitted him. And in European football, a similar story ended more fairly for the attacker. Talented Stoke City player Andrew Hall, 18, was jealous of 15-year-old Megan Peet. During the 2012 European Championships, during a match, a couple entered a bar using false documents and another argument broke out. Unfortunately, Megan has decided to make up with her boyfriend. The young people went to a friend’s apartment, where they argued again and a fight broke out.

Hall stabbed the girl 60 times with a kitchen knife. Megan fought back and injured her attacker, while Andrew was very drunk and had little memory of the details of the murder. Hall will ask for clemency in 2027. But he was a great talent. The relationship between the former Flamengo captain and goalkeeper Bruno Sousa also ended tragically. He had a lover, Eliza, and the woman bore him a son. Bruno could not find anything better than, together with his accomplices, to kidnap and kill a woman who was asking for alimony.

Eliza also threatened to tell the doorman’s wife and his son about the affair. The poor girl was killed in a hotel, her body was dismembered and fed to the dogs. A terrible story, and the worst thing is that the goalkeeper was given 22 years in prison, but he was released after six and a half with an amnesty. The prosecutor’s office ensured Bruno’s return to prison, but Souza was released again in 2019. The goalkeeper even tried to resume his career, but the fans were outraged that their clubs invited a man who killed his mother of his son in conspiracy with accomplices.

And another wild accident happened to the same football player. DR Congo national team midfielder Jody Lukoki has been dismissed from Twente after a scandal involving an assault on a girl. Jody managed to return to his homeland, where he was beaten by a relative. A drunken argument with a cousin at a party leads to a fight. The footballer’s heart failed in the hospital, where Lukoki lost consciousness. Most likely, he fell unsuccessfully and hit his head. Jodi was only twenty-nine.

Solo almost committed a double murder

It is not just men who ruin the lives of their loved ones, although it is clear that among women domestic violence is more often psychological than physical. But there are aggressive young women. Last year, two-time Olympic champion United States of America, the famous Hope Solo was arrested for drunk driving. Former national team goalkeeper United States of America he resisted arrest. And the worst part is that Hope got drunk and drove with two kids in the car. Solo passed out while driving in a supermarket parking lot.

Luckily, a passerby noticed the children and their unconscious mother and called the police. Hope has a tumultuous home life. Her parents divorced her, her father kidnapped her and her brother from her mother and hid her in a hotel. She just dated an American football player who beat her. And two days after the fight and the call to the police, the couple announced their engagement. Additionally, Hope, who clearly has a drinking problem and smokes all kinds of stuff, drunkenly attacked her cousin and nephew. The police were also called and they also insulted everyone.

Last July, Solo received two years of probation for child abuse and driving under the influence. The celebrity was saved by remorse and the fact that she did not drive on the highway drunk with two children. Solo was sent to a rehabilitation center. Let’s hope the doctors helped her. A mother who drinks can easily ruin the lives of her children. And the particular ferocity of the situation is that the twins, a boy and a girl, were only two years old at the time of the accident. It’s lucky that Solo didn’t kill the innocent children.

This is not what I want to leave behind. In no case do I want to speak badly in this message about the previous management or other processes, nor mention the details of the ‘negotiations’. I would just like to wish the new management good luck, they have a long way to go,” he added.

Barinov does not consider himself a traitor after moving from Lokomotiv to CSKA

Football player Dmitry Barinov he does not consider himself a traitor after moving from Lokomotiv Moscow to the capital CSKA. He wrote about it on social networks.

On Tuesday CSKA announced the transfer of Barinov from Lokomotiv, the term of the contract expires until the end of the 2028/29 season.

“I feel bad when I read your negative comments, but I often made emotional statements and you accepted me for who I am. Because absolutely each of us has the right to our own opinions and emotions, but I have nothing but a feeling of gratitude towards our fans for all these years: for the “Steel Rail” (award for the best player of the season according to Lokomotiv fans – approx.), for the general moments of happiness and moments of temporary failures. We have been together for half of my life and I am proud of our history: I want to ask you not to rewrite it, I am not a traitor,” Barinov wrote.

“Yes, I have decided to leave my home, but I am sure of one thing: Lokomotiv and the fans will always be in my heart”, added the footballer.

The paths diverged: who betrayed whom in the history of Lokomotiv and Barinov

Football club CSKA On Tuesday announced the transfer of midfielder Dmitry Barinov from Lokomotiv Moscow. For the Army team this is the second important agreement in the current transfer window after the purchase of the Argentine striker Luciano Gonda; the club is already stocking up on forces to fight for the championship in the season of the Russian Premier League (RPL). For Lokomotiv fans, Barinov’s pass is decidedly painful.

Transfer history

For many, such a move may come as a surprise, because Barinov is moving from one top club to another. Furthermore, in the summer of 2024, Barinov told the Sport24 portal that he will not leave Lokomotiv for another Russian club. This was noted in the context of a possible move to Dynamo Moscow. “I heard about it, there were conversations. But now I can honestly tell you that I will not move to any Russian club. If I leave Lokomotiv somewhere, it will be only in Europe. These words may seem strong to some, but they are true,” Barinov said.

But things didn’t go according to plan. The 29-year-old midfielder’s contract with Lokomotiv was set to expire at the end of the season. In September, he told reporters that the club had not yet started negotiations to extend the deal, despite his leadership, captaincy and legend: he played for Lokomotiv for almost 15 years. Barinov never felt sorry for himself in the Lokomotiv uniform, worked with all the specialists and waited for the opportunity to go to Europe. I was losing to the club, but it seems that Lokomotiv decided to play with it a bit.

This signal did not go away without a trace. Lokomotiv, led by general director Vladimir Leonchenko, has started negotiations with Barinov to extend his contract. Leonchenko himself told Sport Express that the club is interested in continuing cooperation with Barinov. But the negotiations did not produce any results, and the topic of Barinov’s contract became the most discussed in the context of Lokomotiv. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Railway Workers, Yuri Nagornykh, noted that the negotiations are going well.

In December Sport-Express reported that Barinov rejected the final offer to extend his contract. The general director of Lokomotiv has changed, Boris Rotenberg Jr. replaced Leonchenko. However, he also failed to solve this problem.

On January 12, Lokomotiv returned from vacation, Barinov, along with everyone else, underwent a medical examination before flying to the training camp. Then he said that the situation with the transition to CSKA indefinite. On Monday afternoon, sporting director Dmitry Ulyanov said that Boris Rotenberg, already at the beginning of his work at Lokomotiv, offered the player a new contract for four years, but the player rejected this option. He also noted that in the winter Lokomotiv received an offer from CSKA according to Barinov, which the club rejected.

Everything was decided after a few hours. In the evening Lokomotiv announced that it had received a new offer from CSKAwhich has been improved. Therefore, Barinov was excluded from the composition for the retreat. Subsequently director of communications CSKA Kirill Breido reported on his Telegram channel that the club has agreed with Lokomotiv on the transfer of Barinov. Thus ends Barinov’s long history with Lokomotiv. Although in 2025 Barinov was among the contenders for the “For Fidelity” award in the category “RPL“, but the captain and the goalkeeper won CSKA Igor Akinfeev.

Why is it necessary? CSKA?

At 29 years old, Barinov has extensive winning experience. Together with Lokomotiv he won the Russian Cup three times, the national championship once and the national Super Cup once. As is known, winning RPL It also helps to have players who have already won the championship. This is it CSKA acquired another similar player in addition to national champions Igor Akinfeev and Danil Krugovoy.

Barinov has long established himself in Russian football as a defender with a strong character. In addition to good offensive and defensive qualities, CSKA acquires another “boy” capable of strengthening the character of the team at a given moment. The army team now has one of the youngest teams RPLBarinov’s character and serious approach will help in this regard.

Moreover, the Barinov transition gives CSKA variability. In the first part of the season, the army team could not rotate the squad much without losing quality, but with the advent of Barinov, not only a reserve will be added, but also moments of maneuver. This applies to both circuits and simple replacements.

Now CSKA there will be one of the strongest central midfielders: Barinov, Ivan Oblyakov, Matvey Kislyak. All three can play both defense and attack, each of them is a high-quality footballer. They are joined by Brazilian midfielder Matthäus Alves, who plays more in attack. It turns out that Army coach Fabio Celestini will have a lot of variability in terms of using players on the field.

What do the experts say?

On the one hand, the acquisition of Barinov is a big plus for variability. On the other hand, in a positive sense, the problem for Celestini is how to include everyone on the pitch. Experts suggested how it will affect Barinov’s transition CSKA.

Former army footballer Vladimir Ponomarev is convinced of this CSKA The character will be added with the appearance of Barinov. “I think so CSKA will play according to the “4-3-3” scheme, everyone will adapt: Barinov, Matvey Kislyak and Ivan Oblyakov. Barinov is in the support zone, Kislyak is higher, he will go on the attack,” he said. – So it will be a good trio. As the English say: “Show your midfielders, I’ll tell you which team.” Of course, Barinov’s arrival will also add character CSKA. The composition as a whole is not age-appropriate.”

“This is a good transfer, of course, it’s a shame that Barinov already had a complex cruciate ligament injury,” Ponomarev said. “We need a player like this in the middle of the pitch, more or less aggressive, good in defence, holds the ball well, sees the pitch. A good signing for CSKA. But it seems to me that it won’t last long,” he added.

Former head coach CSKA and the Russian national team, Valery Gazzaev believes that the army team now has a very strong selection of players in the center of the field. “Good competition has a positive effect on the success of the team. Ivan Oblyakov, Matvey Kislyak and Barinov – this trio will be one of the best in the center of midfield in Russian football. All players play for the Russian national team and have good qualities,” he said. – Each of them can play both attack and defense. Therefore, a great buy for CSKA. In modern football, centrally positioned players who simultaneously perform defensive and offensive actions are highly valued.”

Former coach of the Russian national team and Lokomotiv Yuri Semin agrees with him. “Now CSKA one of the strongest center lines on the field. The coach has a selection of high-quality players. I think there will be no problems welcoming the main midfielders Oblyakov and Kislyak,” he said.

“I think so CSKA I wanted to see Barinov more at home. The clubs agreed and the transition took place. He was an important player for Lokomotiv, but in football there were often transfers to the competition. Time will tell how this transition will affect teams,” Semin added.

Barinov could play against Lokomotiv in February

CSKA is in fourth place in the rankings RPLscoring 36 points. Lokomotiv is third with 37 points. The teams will play a friendly match on February 21st in the third final training camp before the season resumes.
