Former Paris Saint-Germain footballer Ezequiel Lavezzi was hospitalized with a stab wound in a hospital in Uruguay, El Observador reports.
According to the publication, citing police sources, the Argentinean was stabbed by “one of his family members” after a “quarrel over money”; the ex-player was also diagnosed with a fractured collarbone.
However, the previous report noted that he hit a piece of furniture when he fell.
Lavezzi is 38 years old and a silver medalist at the 2014 World Championships with Argentina. The forward retired in 2020.
