Former head coach of Lokomotiv Yuri Semin praised the Russian Football Union (RFU) for organizing a friendly match with the Serbian national team, which will be very useful for the Russian national team.
Earlier, RFU President Alexander Dyukov announced that an agreement had been signed to hold a friendly match with the Serbian national team in March 2024 on Russian territory.

This match could be the first for the Russian national team against a national team from Europe since the ban from participation in international competitions in February 2022.
The Serbian national team led by Dragan Stojkovic ranks 34th in the FIFA rankings.
