Former CSKA goalkeeper Khasanbi Bidzhiev called striker Tamerlan Musaev a successful acquisition for the Moscow club.
On Tuesday, CSKA announced the transfer of Musaev from Baltika. The 22-year-old footballer signed a contract until the end of the 2027/28 season.
— First of all, it should be noted that Musaev is a graduate of the CSKA Academy. In principle, at the professional level he performs quite well. Participated in Premier League matches and has some relevant experience. He is a youth team player and played one match for the main team. 22 years old is just a very good age. I think this is a good acquisition for CSKA. Musaev is not just promising, he can already benefit the army team. Again, he is well known in CSKA, since he is a graduate of this club.
— In the championship and cup, Musaev scored only two goals in six months. Is this not enough for CSKA?
— You can’t compare CSKA and Baltika, after all, these are teams of different levels. I don’t think that Musaev’s performance at Baltika indicates how much he will score at CSKA. If he wins the competition in the army club and has enough playing time, he will certainly be able to show himself on the positive side.
— Does CSKA take into account that Fedor Chalov may leave the team?
– Of course, you need to keep this option in mind. Forwards are a scarce commodity. And Musaev, moreover, has a Russian passport. And he is a striker with good potential. I think everything together played a role here.
— Is Chalov’s transfer to Marseille realistic, in your opinion?
– Now it’s time for the off-season, there are various rumors, I don’t think it’s possible for me to comment on them.
— CSKA has been short of players lately, the team has problems with injuries, and the roster is poor. Will the “red-blues” have a large-scale transfer campaign in winter?
— For now, there is still relative calm, almost everyone is on vacation. But after the New Year, more systematic transfer work will begin. There will still be changes in many teams, including CSKA. The army team is really experiencing a shortage of personnel, so it makes sense for them to actively work in the transfer market,” Euro-Futbol.Ru quotes Bidzhiev.
After 18 rounds of the MIR Russian Premier League (RPL), CSKA is in eighth place in the table with 28 points.
MIR RPL matches are shown live on the Match TV and MATCH PREMIER TV channels, as well as on the websites matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru.
