Fakel goalkeeper Belenov: “Rubin has an excellent medical staff, thank you for putting us on our feet”

The goalkeeper of Voronezh “Fakel” Alexander Belenov, who played for “Rubin”, said that he was grateful to the Kazan club, which helped him heal from his injury.

Belenov moved to Rubin in July 2022, but missed most of last season due to injury. This summer the goalkeeper signed a contract with Fakel.

— Last season you played only four matches for Rubin. Did you regret your move to the Kazan club?

– No, because I came there injured. He suffered a serious knee injury while playing for Ufa. The biggest problem was with the ankle. Somewhere before October I came to my senses and got into shape. Rubin has an excellent medical staff. Thanks to them for getting me back on my feet.

In the spring I went through the training camp well, but at the last one I got sick and lost my chance of fighting for a place in the squad. “Rubin” started well, conceded few goals, there was no point in changing the goalkeeper, although at that time I was in good shape, the games I played at the training camp, for example, against CSKA, showed that I could still play well, – Belenov told Metaratings.ru.
