Former Italian football player shot dead in nightclub
Former Italian footballer Rosolino Celesia died as a result of gunshot wounds received in a nightclub, Ansa reports.
The incident occurred on the night of December 21 in one of the establishments in Palermo. The crime could have been committed in the midst of an argument at the club. Selesia was 22 years old and had previously played for the Torino youth team.
Police received several videos taken both indoors and from outdoor surveillance cameras. On one of them shots are heard, and there were more than two of them. In the second video, people are carrying out the body of the victim. The third video showed the arrival of a private ambulance that took Selesia to the hospital.
The victim was shot in the chest and neck and died in the emergency room. According to investigators, the killer was a 17-year-old teenager. He and his brother are accused of illegal possession of firearms, both have already been arrested.
“President Urbano Cairo and everyone at Torino sincerely share the pain of Selesia’s family after the death of the ex-youth team player,” the press service of the Turin club reports.
