Amsterdam Ajax will pay compensation to fans who attended the match of the 1/16 finals of the Dutch Cup with the USV Hercules club.
On Thursday, Ajax lost to Hercules, which plays in the fourth division of the Dutch championship, with a score of 2:3 and was knocked out of the National Cup. Vi.nl reports that Amsterdam will cover the fans’ travel expenses.
– Due to the poor play of our team, you undoubtedly found this defeat painful. We share this pain, we are very ashamed. In consultation with the players and coaching staff, it was decided that all fans who purchased tickets for the game will be compensated, the letter sent to fans said.
It is noted that 325 Ajax fans went to the away match in Utrecht.
