Former Brazilian footballer Marcelinho Carioca, who was kidnapped in December by criminals, said he was forced to play Russian roulette.
Carioca was kidnapped on December 17 while driving to a party in eastern Sao Paulo. The next day, his car was found in the municipality of Itaquaquecetuba. A few hours later, the 52-year-old man was released by police, and two suspects were arrested in this case.
“This fear will stay with me forever. They told me: “We need money. It is impossible for there to be no money in your account. Football players have money.
Have you ever played Russian roulette? You could hear the drum spinning, but nothing was visible. Then they put the gun under the towel. Nobody spoke to each other. We didn’t talk, it was scary,” Globo quotes Carioca as saying.
Marcelinho Carioca played for Flamengo, Corinthians, Santos, Vasco da Gama, Brasiliense and Santo Andre in his homeland, in Europe he played for Valencia and the French Ajaccio, for the Brazilian national team he played four matches. After finishing his playing career, he became a sports commentator and became involved in political activities.
