Former Spartak football player Valery Gladilin was dissatisfied with the performance of the Moscow team in 2023.
After 18 rounds, Spartak with 30 points ranks 5th in the WORLD RPL standings. The leader is Krasnodar, which has 38 points.
— I’ll rate this year a C, because it’s the last results that are remembered. The team has the opportunity to advance further in the Cup, but in the championship it lost all chances for the championship and second place, as it seems to me. In a good situation, Spartak can take third place, this is the maximum. This would be a gift from Santa Claus for the “red and whites”.
Next year, I would like Spartak fans to be optimistic. During its football life, the team has been in different situations. The current state of affairs cannot be called some kind of tragedy; anything can happen. The team has its own style, they try to please the fans who go to the matches. The current problems are purely technical issues, we need to improve the game, sort out some details and then the results will come.
“Spartak” continues to be the most popular team in the country, and this imposes certain obligations – you cannot remain without titles for a long time, because in this case the fans begin to get nervous,” RB Sport quotes Gladilin as saying.
