Bulykin proposed replacing Karpin in the Russian national team with Mourinho

Former Russian national team striker Dmitry Bulykin believes that Jose Mourinho could lead the national team, and Valery Karpin in this case would focus only on work in Rostov.
Roma announced Mourinho’s resignation on Tuesday. He has coached the team since the summer of 2021, under his leadership the Roman club won the Conference League and reached the Europa League final. Ex-Roma captain Daniele De Rossi has been appointed the new coach of the Romans.
– Still, it’s hard for Karpin, he’s torn between the club and the national team. And so, Mourinho can take the national team and see from the outside what is happening in the championship. Maybe give some advice on how to develop the Russian Championship. This is a legendary man. If he is in some RPL club, it will be a very big plus for the entire championship. I’ve already said about the national team, it would be super cool, but I think it’s unlikely he’ll want to coach somewhere without international games,” Bulykin told Metaratings.ru.
