The head of the Saudi Arabian national team, Mancini, missed the penalty shootout in the Asian Cup match against South Korea.

The head coach of the Saudi Arabian national team, Roberto Mancini, did not finish the penalty shootout involving his team in the 1/8 finals of the Asian Cup against the South Korean national team.

The main time of the meeting at the Education City Stadium in Rayyan (Qatar) ended with the score 1:1. The Koreans responded to Abdullah Radif’s goal (46th minute) with a precise shot from Gyu-Son Cho (90+9). In the penalty shootout, the South Korean team was more accurate – 4:2.

The Saudis started the penalty shootout successfully, but the third and fourth attempts were unsuccessful. The Koreans converted all four of their attempts. Mancini did not wait for the end of the penalty shootout and went into the stands.

Mancini headed Zenit St. Petersburg from 2017 to 2018.

South Korea will play against the Australian national team for reaching the semi-finals, the meeting will take place on February 2.
