Silkin: “Dynamo doesn’t need Dzhikia, he clearly lost the game”
Former Dynamo head coach Sergei Silkin said that Spartak defender Georgy Dzhikia could not strengthen the “blue and white” squad.
Dzhikia has been playing for Spartak since 2017. The 30-year-old defender’s contract runs until June 30 of this year. This season, the footballer has lost his place in the main team of the “red-whites”.
— Dzhikia has a lot of scoring mistakes, this is unacceptable for a central defender. Nobody is saying that he is a bad football player, but he clearly gave up. He was given the opportunity to play, but he performed poorly in those games. Perhaps the motivation has disappeared. The defender must be reliable.
“Dynamo”? I don’t think it’s needed. He won’t suit Dynamo. I don’t think that the club’s management will try to acquire Jikia,” Silkin told RB Sport.
