Former Manchester United defender O’Shea takes temporary charge of the Republic of Ireland national team

The Irish Football Association has announced the appointment of John O’Shea interim head coach of the national team.

The specialist will lead the national team in the two friendlies against Belgium and Switzerland in March. He will become an assistant Patrick McCarthy.

The announcement regarding the appointment of a permanent coach will be made at the beginning of April.
