Lokomotiv footballer Artem Dzyuba is accustomed to pressure in the media and social networks, he will cope with this situation, said a representative of striker Artem Dzyuba.
On Thursday, Lokomotiv lost to Baltika in the second leg of the quarter finals of the RPL FONBET Russian Cup in a penalty shootout – 1:1 (6:7). Dziuba was unable to convert his shot from the 11-meter mark.
— How does Dziuba cope with the wave of negativity that obviously rose again after this penalty?
“Fortunately or unfortunately, Artem is no stranger to this; during the course of his career, he often found himself in such morally difficult situations. Sometimes even more complex ones. Nevertheless, he emerged from them with honor over and over again. Yes, there is some kind of series without goals and, in general, an unsuccessful series for the team. But this is a man with iron willpower and character, so I have no doubt that he will be able to turn this story around, and then, I hope, luck will return. It will be even stronger. As for the environment, close people always stay close and support. In difficult moments, this support is doubly valuable.
As for the haters and this wave of negativity, as you put it, it seems to me that people need to approach the analysis of the game with a cooler head, and not jump to conclusions. I’m already reading here that the coach should be fired and half the players should be dispersed. I am sure that a few successful games after this pause, and these comments will change beyond recognition.
I saw the reaction of the fans, the “commentators” under the news of any team are a separate caste of people. When everything is good, they bring everyone down; when there is the slightest failure, a wave of negativity begins. In this case, this wave will not play any useful role. If we remember, at the beginning of the season there was also not the most successful series – only one victory in the first five matches, if I’m not mistaken. But then the situation improved, and the team climbed into the top three. There is no need to panic now either. Even in the Russian Cup, nothing has been decided yet; there is a Path of the Regions. Through work you can fix everything.
I think there are no indifferent people in the team, it’s unlikely that any of the players like the latest results, and the fans and the team should be together until the end.
— In Telegram channels they write a lot about Dziuba’s physical readiness. They remembered that he missed the second training camp, and at that time his various shows were released on the Internet.
– I saw this opinion. Yes, he missed the second training camp, but Artem was individually preparing in Moscow at that time, did not miss a single lesson, did not sit at home idle and chill. It is an absolute lie that he was filming some shows while the team was busy at the training camp: all the filming took place in advance, but in reality he trained hard in Moscow, the club management was at the base at that time and saw everything. In this regard, there are absolutely zero questions for Dzyuba; he arrived at the third training camp in his best physical shape and was one of the best in the team. Therefore, all claims regarding Dzyuba’s physical readiness are inappropriate and have no basis in fact. Artem is a great professional, he has always proven this both in training and on the field. And he will continue to prove it,” the Match TV website quotes Goldman as saying.
