“I told Leshchuk: raise your head, this is life” – Dynamo head coach Lichka

The head coach of Dynamo Moscow, Marcel Licka, told what words of support he said to goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk after the defeat in the Russian championship match with Spartak.

The meeting of the 23rd round of the MIR RPL took place on Sunday at the VTB Arena and ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of Spartak. Leshchuk twice failed to secure the ball after shots on his own goal, thanks to which Alexander Sobolev scored a double.

“I can’t say anything bad about the guys.” We gave two goals to the opponent. In the locker room I told Igor Leshchuk: raise your head, this is life, it happens sometimes. We are one team, we are together and we must continue to work. The players played a good match, but the result was negative for us,” Match TV quoted Lichka as saying.

Dynamo (38 points) ranks third in the standings, Spartak (35) is sixth.
