Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo became the first footballer to play in the final stages of six European Championships.
On Tuesday, the 39-year-old forward appeared in the starting lineup of the Portuguese team in the EURO 2024 group stage match with the Czech national team. Ronaldo has played at EURO in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2021. The Portuguese shared leadership with 38-year-old Croatian Luka Modric (2008, 2012, 2016, 2021, 2024).
