“Zenit has no competitors in the Russian championship. It is head and shoulders above the rest” – Zhirkov

Former Russian national team footballer Yuri Zhirkov told Match TV that at the moment no team can compete with Zenit in the Russian championship.
The start of the new MIR RPL season is scheduled for July 20. Zenit will play away against Samara’s Krylia Sovetov in the first round.
— Zenit’s transfer campaign shows that they want to win the next championship and are focused on it. Just like last year, there is no competition for Zenit. Although there was a fight at the end of the championship, everyone could see that Zenit was head and shoulders above them, — Zhirkov told Match TV.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, Zenit won the Russian Championship, as well as the Russian Cup and Super Cup.
