Rubin head coach Rashid Rakhimov summed up the results of the first round match of the MIR RPL with PARI NN, noting the team’s unsuccessful second half.
On Monday, Rubin beat PARI NN 4-2 in an away match of the 1st round of the MIR RPL; after the first half, Kazan was leading 3-1.
— I am not happy with the second half. We became lax, our reaction worsened, we stopped playing out episodes. We allowed the opponent to do a lot, I told the team this in the locker room. At the same time, the first half was just super. This is a lack of safety margin. I see this, for this we need internal competition. This worries me. At the same time, the period that was good inspires optimism. But we need to maintain the level of play for the entire 90 minutes. Nevertheless, a good start: we won away, scored four goals.
— Is Daku’s unfulfilled moment also a sign of relaxation?
– No, he told me himself: “I’m done.” That’s why I called him to the sideline and told him to react faster and run back in advance, to read these moments so that he wouldn’t have to accelerate 40 meters later. The goal he didn’t score is just fatigue, – the Match TV correspondent reports Rakhimov as saying.
Rubin will play Zenit at home in the next round on July 27.
