Zenit forward Mateo Cassierra told Match TV that team newcomer Maxim Glushenkov, after a bright start to the season, will help the “blue-white-blues” in a variety of ways.
On Saturday, in the first round of the MIR RPL, Zenit beat Krylia Sovetov away with a score of 4:0. Earlier, Sergey Semak’s team beat Krasnodar with a score of 4:2 in the OLIMPBET Russian Super Cup match. Glushenkov became a player of the “blue-white-blues” in June, in the first two official matches the midfielder scored four goals.

“Maxim is a very skilled and bright footballer. At Zenit, he added quality and diversified our attacking game. Now it is important that Glushenkov continues to maintain this level. In the next round of the MIR RPL, Zenit will play Rubin in Kazan on July 27.
