Former Russian national team footballer Igor Shalimov said on Match TV that the main referee of the match between Dynamo and Krasnodar, Sergei Karasev, should have awarded a penalty against the visitors in the second half.
In the 87th minute of the sixth round of the MIR RPL match between Dynamo and Krasnodar (0:1), Krasnodar player Alexander Chernikov fought with Diego Laxalt in his penalty area, as a result of which the Dynamo player ended up on the grass. The main referee of the match Sergey Karasev ignored the moment, VAR referee Sergey Ivanov did not intervene in the episode.
— The explanation will be simple — insufficient contact. In my opinion, it is a penalty. Laxalt gets away from Chernikov, wins the position, runs away. I do not see any elements of simulation in Laxalt. They talk about the bar for an inflated fight, but what does the bar have to do with it if a person violates the rules. It is strange to me that VAR did not intervene, — Shalimov said on the air of “All on Match!” on Match TV.
Dynamo is in 4th place in the standings with 12 points, while Krasnodar (12) is in third place.
